Teachers -- steps and horizontal moves will be paid in January.

ESP -- steps will be implemented in February.

Teachers and ESP

	The district will continue to pay employee only premiums for Kaiser Low plan and dental.
	Contracting Out: District will involve WEA as soon as possible when it is seriously considering contracting out.
	Transfers: WEA and the District will pilot a hiring rubric in 2010-11 and make needed adjustments in the next round of bargaining.

Teachers

	Teaching Cum Day Allotment: Teachers will have 5 of their 2010-2011 cumulative days placed in their accrued account and can use them starting the 2011-2012 school year. Accrued account will be increased to 30 days.
	Furlough Day: Teachers will have 1 furlough day on November 23.
	Once Time Stipend:   Teachers who are not getting a step increase and are not eligible for lane change  (MA+90/PhD) will receive a $440 one time stipend.
	External Mandates/Required Corrective Actions: District will involve WEA as soon as possible and before implementations.
	Secondary Teaching Load: Teachers will not be assigned more than three separate class preparations or levels.
	Loss or Damage to District property/Equipment: Teachers will be subject only to a reasonable care standard.
	Instructional Issues: Formalizes the ongoing instructional issues committee with representation by eight teachers selected by WEA.

 

	Once Time Stipend:  ESP whose steps are maxed out (not getting a step increase), they will receive a onetime stipend equivalent to two days pay.
	ESP Cum Day Allotment: ESP will have 2 cumulative days of their 2011 calendar year placed in their accrued account and can use them starting the 2011 calendar year. Accrued account will be increased to 30 days.
	Furlough Days: ESP will have 2 furlough days.  260 day employees on December 28 and 29, 2010.  Transportation TBD; all others on November 22 and 23, 2010
	Drivers: Reduce 4 staff development days for a 176 day contract
	ECC: Pre-school aides (Hodgkins, FM Day, Skyline Vista) contract reduced 1 day from 182 to 181 to be consistent with other aides
	Work in Higher Classification: ESP will be paid the higher rate after 40 hours of continuous work in a higher classification.
