Negotiations - Vote was completed and the results were:
ESP - passed
Teacher - passed
76% Membership -- 77% ESP -- 75% Teacher
WEA has 778 members as of December 1, 2009, but we still have a lot of potential members to contact and encourage to join. One on One relationships are the best promotional tools, so get out there and invite a non-member to join.
WEA would like to be at 80% this year, and several sites have already obtained that milestone.
Report on the Ethnic Minority Advisory Council (EMAC):
The group would like to continue to grow and become active in the committee, if you have question or would like to join contract Claudette Trujillo, Rosie Jaramillo or Yvonne Brezeall
They are meeting on December 9, 6:30 at Scott Carpenter MS.
DO YOU want input into how your professional duties are completed.
Then join the Instructional Issues committee so that you will have a voice in the process. DON"T let someone else decide what you are supposed to do, have input. Contact Melissa Walsh.
November Paycheck information on the insurance refund was sent to all employees.
NEA National ESP Conference
WEA conference participation form due to WEA by December 16, 2009 at Scott Carpenter MS
WEA Organizing
WEA Phone trees due to office by December 10, 2009, practice run during week of December 14.
